Rojc Associations Alliance (Savez udruga Rojca)

Social-Cultural Center Rojc is a unique space for civil society in a repurposed building that forms part of the cultural heritage of Pula, Croatia. Located in an Austro-Hungarian structure dating back to the 1870s, today the centre is home to 111 associations from various fields (culture, sports, psychosocial care and health services, activities for children and young people, care for persons with disabilities, environmental protection, technical culture, ethnic minorities, etc.).

Thousands of Rojc inhabitants and their visitors pass through its painted hallways and stairways each week, giving it a central role in the life of the community. The Rojc Alliance has formed a kind of civic-public partnership with the City of Pula, which co-governs the centre and encourages its development. A network of the associations of Rojc, the Alliance unites these organisations to present and represent their interests, promote mutual cooperation and carry out community actions, cultural and social events.

What makes the organisation unique?

It is a network of organisations running a unique multipurpose space that brings together more than a hundred civil society organisation and which co-governs the Social-Cultural Centre Rojc with the City of Pula. Rojc Alliance also operates a community radio station with a local FM concession called Radio Rojc.
