La Foresta - community academy” is a commons growing in a regenerated space at the train station of Rovereto (Trentino, Italy). La Foresta brings together small scale cultural associations, informal groups and active citizens. Together we work on questions of community cohesion, the agro-ecological transition, mental health, the activation of traditional common lands and much more. We host and promote weekly activities that are participatory and convivial: we grow and cook, we pick and ferment, we knead and bake, we make music and dance, we hike and explore, we draw and print, we imagine and create. We ask questions and seek answers around pressing issues of our times through practice. Doing so, we address issues like social isolation, mental health, climate change, biodiversity loss and create spaces, infrastrucutres and experiences that allow people eo experience how the world could be different if governed by values such as interdependence, care and creative collaboration.
