Masque teatro was founded in 1992. The visionary force of their theater is expressed in the complex dialogue that the company develops between philosophical discourse, the creation of prodigious stage architectures and the fundamental role of the Figure. Some performances have opened a possibility that identifies not only a stylistic figure but a new production mode and an innovative relationship with the audience. Prigione detto Atlante (Myfest-Glasgow, 1994), Coefficiente di Fragilità (Triennale di Milano, 1998), Omaggio a Nikola Tesla (Bitef Festival, Belgrade 2003), Materia cani randagi (Nobodaddy-Ravenna 2009) and Just Intonation (Festival di Santarcangelo 2011) represent the peaks of a research that finds its raison d'être in the production of simulacra, events where material and virtual merge to give life to original creations.

Since 1994 they have been creators and organisers of Crisalide festival.
