External & Projects Communications Manager Needed

Are you our new External & Projects Communications Manager? We are looking for a skilled, passionate and confident communicator who knows how to tweak a message, create impact, and can take responsibility for leading communications for a European project. It is essential that you share our values and have a passion for independent culture, heritage, and meaningful change.

This role combines external communication leadership with project management, acting as the public face of TEH’s projects and initiatives. You will ensure that TEH’s work, values, and impact are effectively communicated to external stakeholders while meeting the communication requirements of European projects.

The ideal candidate has experience in both strategic communication and project management, with a strong track record in EU-funded projects (Horizon Europe projects are a strong asset!). You should be comfortable working in international teams, managing complex deliverables, and translating technical content into engaging narratives.

We are looking for someone who knows how to navigate the European project ecosystem with creativity, authenticity and boldness. You don’t shy away from a good challenge and love working in a fast-paced and ever-evolving environment.

Trans Europe Halles is a member-based organisation, a network of 180+ independent cultural and creative spaces in 40+ countries across Europe and beyond. For over 40 years, we have been supporting cultural centres founded by communities and artists in repurposed buildings: turning former factories, warehouses, and industrial sites into thriving hubs for creativity and social change. TEH provides capacity-building programs, advocacy, funding opportunities and knowledge exchange to empower cultural organisations and strengthen the independent cultural sector.

• Position: 80% (one-year temporary contract, with possibility of extension)
• Start date: 1 September 2027
• Gross salary: starting from 24,800 SEK per month
