Our meetings are at the core of what we do and who we are. They are moments where the network becomes tangible. They are the nurturer of the TEH spirit: where ideas take shape, trust gets built, and connections grow.
Hosting a TEH meeting is an undertaking but is also an adventure to embark on. It is a great opportunity for your centre to contribute to the collective discourse and showcase your work to international peers.
Both a TEH Spring Conference and a TEH Camp Meeting are a collaboration and co-creation between TEH Coordination Office and a full and active member of the network.
A few details
The formats of our meetings have been slowly transforming over the years, adjusting to our collective need to reconnect with each other in a meaningful way.
Over time, we have come to aim for our Spring Conferences to be more outward-looking, allowing us to share the work of the network beyond our membership, inviting external perspectives, partners, funding bodies, researchers, artists, and potential new members and collaborators. We would like Spring Conferences to remain public events open to all.
Autumn Camp Meetings, on the other hand, are more driven by our wish to strengthen our community and the ties we have been building over the years. This event is reduced in format, more tailored to our members and associates’ interests and is partially co-created by the entire membership. Programming is designed to give enough space for members to meet, expand, recharge, re-think, find support or simply feel understood.
We are looking for hosts for:
- TEH105 Conference - Spring 2028 (April-May)
- TEH106 Camp Meeting - Autumn 2026 (late September-October)
- To be an active member of the network (minimum of three-year membership at TEH for the Spring Conference, and two years for the Camp Meeting, with a track record of regular and active participation in TEH meetings, activities, hubs and/or projects)
- To have the capacity and resources to organise an international four-day professional gathering of between 300 to 400 participants for the Spring Conference and between 100 to 200 participants for the Autumn Camp Meeting.
- Full TEH membership
- Accessible venue and premises
- Having production staff and being able to recruit volunteers for the meeting
- Having stable finances and creating a plan to fundraise locally
- Local, regional and national connections
- Interesting and relevant concept for the programming and meeting formats
