Cultural Accelerator (CA) was a capacity-building programme for artists and cultural workers across and beyond Europe, giving participants practical tools to make their projects and organisations more successful and resilient through expert talks and hands-on workshops featuring prominent cultural researchers and practitioners.
About the initiative
Cultural Accelerator was initiated by Trans Europe Halles (TEH), Lund, Sweden, and Ta(r)dino 6 Art Platform (TAP), Baku, Azerbaijan. It ran in two stages: an online programme in April 2021, which drew more than 300 participants to every session, followed by a physical event in Baku on 9 July 2021, held under the theme "Independent Cultural Sector in Azerbaijan: Challenges and Opportunities" for local participants.
Who could take part
The online programme was open to anyone interested in cultural advocacy, campaigning, bottom-up democracy and policy-making, as well as cultural managers, curators, consultants and policymakers. It was aimed particularly at cultural practitioners, researchers and policymakers from Europe, the Caucasus, the Middle East and Central Asia.
