TEH is seeking a Communications Officer to join its international team of dedicated changemakers! The Communications Officer will play a pivotal role in executing communication tasks for all projects coordinated or supported by TEH.

About Trans Europe Halles

TEH is an international cultural network of grassroots community-led, non-governmental arts and culture organisations, gathering more than 162 members in over 40 countries. We have been at the forefront of repurposing abandoned buildings for arts, culture and community uses since 1983. TEH members are multidisciplinary spaces that combine artistic and social activities, as they believe that arts and culture have the power to transform people, spaces and societies. 

Basic details

  • Contract: This is a full-time employment, and this contract is a two-year contract, renewable upon mutual agreement.
  • Work Location: Lund – Sweden, with extensive traveling within Europe. Applicants should be eligible to work in Sweden at the start date of the employment.
  • Contract Start date: 1 April 2024
  • Gross Monthly Salary: 31,250 SEK
  • Reports to: Managing Director 

Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement communication strategies to promote TEH projects and its initiatives, and events internationally.
  • Create engaging digital content across various platforms.
  • Copywriting and editing tasks ensuring consistent messaging and branding across all communication channels.
  • Manage the projects social media presence, including content planning, posting, and community engagement.
  • Conduct SEO analysis and implement strategies to improve organic visibility and traffic.
  • Plan and execute PPC campaigns to drive targeted traffic and achieve communication objectives.
  • Collaborate with the team to develop and implement strategies that align with TEH's mission and values.
  • Monitor and analyse communication metrics to measure the effectiveness of campaigns and initiatives.
  • Support the team with various communication-related tasks and provide guidance on best practices.
  • Coordinate with international partners in Europe and beyond to ensure a shared communication strategy and implementation of the international projects in each location with a particular attention to global reach and local reach.
  • Coordinate with external partners, including media outlets and stakeholders, to amplify TEH's visibility and reach.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in communications, Marketing, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in communications, preferably within the arts and culture sector.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in digital content creation, copywriting, and editing.
  • Experience in social media management across platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn.
  • Knowledge of SEO principles and experience implementing SEO strategies.
  • Familiarity with PPC advertising platforms (e.g., Google Ads, Facebook Ads) and campaign management.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement brand strategies.
  • Proven track record in project management, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural environment.
  • Perfect fluency in English. Knowledge of other European languages is a plus (particular attention to Ukrainian, Polish, German, French)
