Veřejný sál Hraničář

The People's Hall Hraničář exists since 2014 when the former cinema building was with the help of many volunteers transformed into a multifunctional space with a contemporary art gallery. It offers cultural-educational events open for both general and professional public – like thematic exhibitions, movie projections, lectures, workshops, educational programs for schools and more. It cooperates with a number of prominent organizations (Jan Evangelista Purkyně University, Faculty of Art and Design, Czech Architecture Foundation, National Heritage Institute, etc.). It is an open platform linking contemporary art with everyday life and social development.

What makes the organisation unique?

Hraničář is the place for creative people who need to reflect the changes in both the community and the overall society via artistic expression and thus being able to use their enthusiasm to enrich the public space by innovative and creative ideas and venues.
