Cultureghem

Cultureghem is a non-profit organisation based in the biggest covered market in Brussels that is dedicated to creating cultural activities that promote social inclusion, environmental sustainability, and community building. Our work is focused on transforming public spaces into vibrant, inclusive, and sustainable spaces.

We cultivate urban space by sharing what we have: space, mobile tools, food and lots of energy. Our actions evolve around three main issues: PEOPLE, SPACE and FOOD.

• OMTA stands for Open Meeting Space of Temporary Arts, as we share our space with artists to amaze and question us, under our big rooftop.
• pARTy is our project in which we join forces with cultural partners and try to take cultural education of Cureghem's youth to another level.
• During COLLECTMET we collect the unsold fruit and vegetables from the market, to redistribute them.
• DREAMKITCHEN is our open kitchen for the neighborhood and serves a healthy lunch from Monday till Thursday, for free donation.
• KOOKMET is our pedagogical offer : cook workshops with unsold or seasonal vegetables) for children and adults alike.
• KETMET is the playground of Brussels : each Wednesday afternoon we roll out our mobile playboxes for the whole neighborhood to come and play.
• VADROUILLE takes over public streets and squares with our mobile kitchens and playboxes.
