Culture Polis

CulturePolis as a partner of the ERASMUS+ project, “O.H.A.S. Opening Heritage and Archaeological Sites for People with Special Needs”, hosted the 3rd Partners Meeting on 9-10 October 2019 in Corfu.

The project aims to support people with disabilities by allowing them access to as many as possible cultural heritage sites such as archaeological sites, galleries, museums and more. It also focuses on educating people working in cultural settings who come in contact with and interact with people with disabilities.

On the first day the Deputy Mayor of Social Policy and municipal hero, Mr Andreas Skopouras, briefed the partners on the actions of the Municipality of Corfu on accessibility issues and led them on a tour of some of the mapped wheelchair-friendly routes located within the old town of Corfu (UNESCO monument).

During the meeting, we discussed the activities of the last few months, while key issues related to the future actions and deliverables of the project were resolved. The next milestone in the project is the 4th Partners Meeting in Pleven, Bulgaria.

NiMAC

hypersurfacing

NiMAC organises and presents “hypersurfacing”— a project curated by Marina Christodoulidou on 29 November 2019 – 29 February 2020.

On the occasion of the 25th anniversary of NiMAC, the project seeks to showcase the plurality of practices among Cypriot contemporary artists, and will unfold via two platforms: an exhibition and a forum.
