Online TEH Youth Audience Development Session

We are inviitng you to join our free online session “Youth and Arts” that we are hosting on 7 June between 14.00-16.00 CEST. It is open to anyone interested in the topic.

This session aims to open a conversation & share tools around a series of questions involving the place of childhood and youth in cultural institutions. Traditionally seen as captive & massive audiences linked to the schooling system, non adults are being approached nowadays in innovative ways that break the “guided tour paradigm”. Bringing various case studies and methodologies, this session will especially focus on “for, by, with” strategies. Institutional and para-institutional approaches will be combined, working from feminist and anti-racist positions. Although international examples will be dealt with, the session will use the context of Spain as an opportunity for a broader dialogue.

The session will jointly be facilitated by educators Carlos Almela (Head of education, hablarenarte) and Sofía de Juan (Education Project manager, Prado Museum).
