mAFF – mater Art Film Festival
In Flashback Habitat contemporary art centre complex, a former orphanage and birth clinic, housed in the tallest building where the mater sign stands out, a space has been established for authors and filmmakers. This initiative (mater Art Film Fest : mAFF) aims to support and celebrate the contemporary audiovisual arts movement through screenings, reviews, festivals, exhibitions, and editorial projects.
mAFF will host an international selection of 25 short audiovisual works (max. 20 min) that represent, interpret, or simply pay homage to the archetype of the mother in all its forms.
For the first edition, mAFF intends to showcase the state of audiovisual art through international authors, artists, and directors who explore the theme of mater (MOTHER/MOM) with productions from 2020 to 2025.
Submissions are open to works of fiction, documentary, animation, experimental, and video art.

mAFF will take place from 21 to 23 November 2025 at Flashback Habitat.
