Trans Europe Halles is excited to announce that the EIT Culture & Creativity KIC is to be a Strategic partner for the development of the Green Fund for Cultural and Heritage Buildings of TEH.

EIT Culture & Creativity will help TEH refine and develop the concept and model of a Green Fund in 2024-2025,  create awareness among governments, public and impact investors and leverage funds for the creation of an investment tool that could allow cultural and heritage centers undergo the green transition of their buildings.

Nico Degenkolb from Goethe Institute and interim program director for EIT Culture & Creativity and Tiffany Fukuma, Managing Director of Trans Europe Halles, announced this partnership on the opening day of TEH#95 in Leipzig.

“EIT Culture and Creativity believes that the TEH Green Fund has the potential to be a transformational lighthouse for the green transition in and by the Cultural and Creative Industries and Sectors.

This initiative is fully in line with the vision of the EIT Culture & Creativity that CCSI become the game changer for the digital, green and social transitions in Europe. It would be associated with the EIT CC action programme “Community Catalyzer”.

As a strategic partner, the EIT Culture & Creativity would support the Green Fund with its services from the Investment Club, the Policy Club as well as novel connections across sectors and disciplines in cooperation with other KICs.

All requests for EIT funding are processed through open and transparent calls according to Horizon Europe rules; an independent jury decides. EIT CC will be able to operationalize the strategic partnership in the Fall.”
