It feels great to be back in the network after more than a yearof absence. Emma has done a great job while I was away and the networkseems to be more alive and kicking than ever.
I am particularly proud of our mobility project CHANGING ROOM. TEH has never in its history been awarded such a big grant for a project of this scope. With this project we can not only make it possible for people at our centres to travel and learn from other centres, but we are actually building a structure for staff exchange and a European cultural job market for years to come. We are also in a unique possibility of actually influencing European cultural policy since we are one of four pilot projects that the European Commission is following with great interest.
I am indeed looking forward to how we can develop this for the next coming years, especially since we are deciding on a new network plan for the years 2011 – 2013 this spring.
We have one year left of the project and a lot of activities are planned for this year. If we want to change things, now is the time. The project team needs us – the members, the executive committee and the TEH Office - to do our part. So let's roll up our sleeves and start working – in 2010 we are going to get Europe on the move!
