The groups we identify with are no longer tied down to the place we live or where we work. Here we present some loose liquid tribes that can be found hanging out in the TEH centres.

1. Music ProAms
The club scene and internet provide the ideal channel of distribution and communication for the musical ProAms, who are known for their credible taste leading the way in the fragmented music business of today.

2. Art and Design Tribe
They don’t follow trends, they design their own lives, taking what they see coming up in the art scene and making it their own.

3. Marketing and Media Activist
They are comfortable with the latest technology, and use it to convert culture to content. Look for this group to produce the next killer ap media that will revolutionise everything.

4. Geek Chic
These chic geeks are highly aware of both hi-tech and urban cool, they are the new jacks-of-all-trades, equally proficient in technical and aesthetic skills.

5. Business Bohos
Business and culture do mix. The bohemian business class are not drop outs, but drop ins. It’s all about their own interests that they relentlessly pursue.

6. Ethical Seekers
Ethical seeking is a lifestyle where the private and political are fused to a life with a purpose—eating organic, flea-markets and joining a charity.

7. Experience Travellers
These travellers long to find something from each (sub)culture, to experiment with a new way of life. A diary, blog and digital camera are necessary to document their trips around the world and the nooks and crannies of the culture around them.

8. Urban Street Sporters
They do not follow the cultural rules and taboos of surrounding society. Many will resent attempts to market to them, but ally themselves to their favourite brands and shops. This is a group to have on your team.
