New EC Culture Programme Guide - 03.07.2008
The European Commission recently announced the new Programme Guide for the Culture programme. The guide contains all information you need in order to make an application to this programme from now until the programme ends in 2013. It also contains the revised set of deadlines. The deadline for 1-2 year and 3-5 year projects has been set to the 1st of October 2008. The guide can be accessed from:

Getting ready for TEH Meeting 66 - 03.07.2008
On June 22nd-24th Emma Ernsth from the Coordination Office and Gudrun Goldmann from the Executive Committee visited Tou Scene in Stavanger. The visit was part of the preparations for TEH Meeting 66 that Tou Scene will host in September 18th-21st. Emma and Gudrun were welcomed by an enthusiastic team at Tou Scene and also got the chance to see the passenger ship that Tou Scene has rented for accommodating the meeting participants. The programme in Stavanger includes a one-day training on issues such as vision, marketing and project management that is part of the TEH training pilot. The meeting also includes a session dedicated to the theme of the Cultural Capital and the independent sector that will be realized in collaboration with LabforCulture. Tou Scene has also planned an exciting evening programme. The official invitation to the meeting has been sent this week. Curator commission and job offer - 03.07.2008
The Cultural committee of the City of Göteborg, Sweden, has given TEH member Röda Sten the assignment of being the main organiser of Göteborg International Biennial for Contemporary Art in 2009 and 2011. Röda Sten is proposing an open call for artistic leadership of Göteborg International Biennial for Contemporary Art 2009.The commission is open to any curator/curator team to apply with a proposal according to a specific assignment. Röda Sten is also looking for a Marketing- and Financial Coordinator for the biennial team that will be working full-time until the end of 2009 (possibly longer). The team is going to include a production coordinator, an educational coordinator and a curator/curatorteam. The Marketing- and Financial Coordinator needs to be able to speak Swedish among other languages. The deadline for both the Curator Commission and the Marketing- and Financial Coordinator is the 10th of August.

Their newsletter Praxis, that focuses on the mobility of students studying cultural management on high level, has already facilitated the exchange of more than twenty students. Tou Works is a project laboratory at Tou Scene in Stavanger, Norway that has been established with support from Stavanger 2008, European Capital of Culture. Tou Scene is currently looking for a curator(s) for creating a collaborative work during 2009. The work should take place in Stavanger and to participate in this call you should send a concept of 750-1500 words describing your idea, along with a CV. The selected curator(s) will be invited to Stavanger for discussing the financial frames of the project and developing a budget and project description. For this, Tou Works will pay the curator a fee of EUR 1.200.- and cover travel and accommodation. The deadline is 1st of August 2008. Call for TEH residency at TNT - 21.02.2008
TNT in Bordeaux wishes to welcome artists proposed by other members of TEH, and provide them with possibilities for working. The TNT has three different spaces; a main stage, two rehearsal rooms and a bar. Depending on the artistic project and the availability of the spaces, either of the rooms could be used. The artists would be chosen by the TNT and the TEH member in regard
to their project(s) and the artistic orientations of the two venues.
At the end of the residence, a public presentation of the artistic work could take place at the TNT. TNT is open to all kinds of proposals in performing arts as well as in plastic arts (even if it’s not their main activity). The residency could last for three to four weeks. TNT will provide accommodation, meals, transports and a small budget for the technical needs of the residence.
